How you got into improv
My parents introduced me to the Marx Brothers, Monty Python, and Saturday Night Live as a young kid. I have gravitated towards comedy and making people laugh for as long as I can remember. As I got older, I realized how big of an impact the art of improv has had on my favorite performers and shows. I was overjoyed when I moved to Chattanooga and found an improv scene. I started attending shows and then eventually signed up for classes. Now, I am an unstoppable improv machine.
What you love about improv
I love creating new characters and worlds with my fellow troupe members. I enjoy how collaborative it is. It is a great way to play and have fun while also strengthening real life skills like listening. I also love how accessible improv is. All you need to be an improviser is yourself! Improv feels like magic.
What inspires you
Being serious about being silly, committing to the bit, and the love of my life, Conan O’Brien 🧡
Non-improv related tidbit
I guarantee I can eat more dill pickles in one sitting than anyone else you know.
